Hollywood remakes of foreign films are not new. Some of them have turned into genuine classics that can stand on their own foot (see: “The Departed”).
“Memory” To Release In Theaters On The 29th Of April In 2022
In other instances, you can find the director, Antoine Fqua’s “The Guilty,” an adaptation to “The Guilty,” a Danish crime thriller with the same title Chris Evangelista of /Film’s Chris Evangelista said.”
“Memory,” one of the most recent entries in Liam’s waning period as an action-movie star and action star, isn’t a reworking of an original Danish film.
The film is another remake of the European genre film, which this time takes the shape of 2003’s “The Alzheimer Case,” a Belgian crime thriller written and directed by Erik Van Looy and inspired by the book “De Zaak Alzheimer” written by Jef Geeraerts.
In addition, it’s one that’s in complete alignment with the majority of his filmography post- “Taken,” for both better and more sour reasons.
Open Road Films has scheduled “Memory” to release in theaters on the 29th of April in 2022. Neeson’s involvement with the company dates back to 2012 when the actor was a part of director Joe Carnahan’s “The Grey” (which was the second film Open Road had released after the company’s founding in March 2011.).

Although the criticism regarding the trailers’ misleading content that portrayed the survival story of Carnahan as more focused on pondering the nature of death and life and more concerned with having Neeson fight wolves,
“The Grey” was a huge critical and financial success that made over three times its initial $25 million budget.
In recent times, Open Road has firmly established itself in the Liam N. Neeson action film business. The company has already produced two Neeson-directed action films (“Honest Thief” and “The Marksman”) since the outbreak began.
It will release a fourth called “Blacklight,” three months prior to when “Memory” will hit the market. Neeson appears as confused as
everyone else by having been making these kinds of films as he gets to becoming 70 in June; however, as long as the public keeps coming to see his shoot-em-ups with a mid-budget budget, Open Road appears content to continue to make them.
Neeson is the main character in “Memory” in the role of Alex Lewis, an expert killer-for-hire who gets himself into hot water for refusing to perform a task that is against his moral code of conduct.
With no option, Alex sets out to murder the criminals hired by him, while an FBI agent is after him. To make matters more complicated, Alex’s memory is beginning to disappear, forcing him to be unsure about what’s right and wrong.
The basic idea behind “Memory” is similar to that of “The Alzheimer’s Case,” one of the films in which the protagonist is at the beginning stage of the development process for Alzheimer’s.
This is in line with his most recent action films and the way in which they’ve included their protagonist’s aging into the storyline instead of in a sloppy manner, as many of Cruise’s recent film roles have.

( For example, the funny scene from “The Mummy” in which Russell Crowe called the then-54-year-old Cruise a “young male.”) Similar to “Memory,” this also provides Neeson an interesting storyline to chew on when he’s not shooting his opponents or shouting out threats with jokes.
