While you might enjoy the mockumentary-style “Office” version of Quinta Brunson’s ABC series “Abbott Elementary,” it’s possible that you are more interested in a cartoon-style version. While there are many shows that change, including developing pitches, shooting pilots, and being purchased by a network or streaming service, Brunson explained in an IndieWire interview that the original idea for the series was a cartoon. She said that she had the original idea for the series while spending time with her mother, who was approximately a year away from retirement.
Abbott Elementary Was Nearly A Cartoon!!!
I was visiting her school when the idea for the show came to me. After some research about the type of comedy it would be, and where it would live, I initially thought it was a cartoon because I was busy with other projects at the time. But, it would be difficult to make it live-action. It was easier to see it as a cartoon. However, I ended up making it a live-action series.
Brunson’s logic is very logical. It seems easier to schedule voiceover work than to commit to being on the set. But it’s fascinating to consider how telling the story as comedy could have drastically changed key plot lines and characters. “Abbott Elementary” is a story about a group of unconventional but well-meaning teachers at an elementary school that is chronically underfunded.
They deal with parents who are not financially responsible, as well as snakes that accidentally get released into the school’s environment. You know, normal school stuff. Although the plot is absurd, it could have been given a more bizarre spin if the cartoon had been animated. Is it still a mockumentary? We don’t have the answers to these questions. However, we do know that form follows function, so it would be very different from the one you love.
Enjoy the current version of Abbott Elementary, and forget about all the other universes. They are infinite and unknowable. It is impossible to think about other presents. You have to live in the present. It’s okay to put on another episode. That will help calm your existential fear.
If brand equity is to grow or be maintained in overseas markets, it is important to establish strategic alliances with local organizations. BRL Hardy’s strategic alliances were formed with local conservation groups that were similar to the ones with which alliances were made in Australia. In this instance, Australia’s lesson was applied to overseas markets.
The brand had to associate itself with its alliance partner’s projects, and the management should take an active interest in those projects. Banrock Station’s environment scientist created quality controls to ensure that the funds from Banrock Station sales went to conservation groups that were technically sound and financially rewarding. The brand’s ‘green brand equity will grow and expand if it is supported by its consumers and has a strong reputation.
