She-Hulk Star Tatiana Maslany and showrunner Jessica Gao spoke about the VFX artists being exploited on Marvel projects.
Over the past few weeks, Marvel Studios has come under fire from VFX artists for being overworked. Various artists spoke about last-minute studio changes and other instances that led to frustration, stress, and burnout. For She-Hulksome fans criticized the CGI’s appearance, which is not uncommon for Marvel Studios projects.
She-HulkThe CGI of has improved in recent footage that has been released as the series inches closer to release later this month. While promoting the upcoming TCA series, She-Hulk Star Tatiana Maslany has this to say about criticism from the visual effects industry while adding that she’s pro-union:
“We have to be aware of the fact that the working conditions are not always optimal.”
She-Hulk Showrunner Jessica Gao also showed her support for overworked VFX artists:
“I think everyone on this panel stands in solidarity with the workers.”
Will Marvel make any changes?
Marvel Studios just announced a slew of new projects at San Diego Comic-Con a few weeks ago. With the studio churning out more projects than ever before, will it keep in mind the well-being of the various visual effects houses it uses?
