While there is no confirmed word regarding the death of John Souttar’s brother, Aaron, we do know that his brother recently scored a goal in his honor.
Souttar, raised in Luthermuir and born in Aberdeen, praised his older brother for helping him get better and insisted he was the first person he spoke to after the game.
John Souttar, who started his career as a centre-back, switched to playing as a defensive midfielder towards the end of his time at Dundee United. Still, he has recently been used as a centre-back for Hearts.
He made his club debut in January 2013 aged 16, making him the youngest player to play for Dundee United’s first team. He previously represented the country at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 levels. In September 2018, he made his full international debut.
