Known for his gritty and grandiose approach to cinema, Zack Snyder has certainly left his mark on the DCEU by giving Superman and Batman a darker theme. But the Snyderverse theme didn’t sit well with audiences, forcing Warner Bros. to make controversial decisions.
Following a personal tragedy, the 300 director had to leave the production of Justice Leagueand the studio handed the reins over to Joss Whedon, which led to a convoluted mess with tonal inconsistencies, poor dialogue, and an underwhelming plot.

Despite the negative reception, Warner Bros. stuck to its guns, now the definitive, canon 2017 release. Fans were in disbelief that Zack Snyder had created such a dissatisfiedhumorous film moved and mustache holder.
Fans get the Snyder Cut
After Zack Snyder confirmed a version of his movie existed, fans campaigned under #releasethesnydercut, to see the director realize his vision and achieve what he did. Zack Snyder’s Justice League received rave reviews from fans and started another movement, #restorethesnyderverse.

Despite the spike in HBO Max subscriptions due to the Snyder cut and the pulp that Warner Bros. has picked up, the studio vehemently opposes restoring the Snyderverse as canon, considering Zack Snyder’s Justice League to be an experience at most.

The studio is already moving into independent projects, with joker 2 announced and Matt Reeves’ Batman is doing so well, the studio is unlikely to change direction. He also canceled bat girlwho had ties to the Snyderverse, leaving only Aquaman and Shazam with a stable future.
Warner continues to ignore the Snyderverse
Again stabbing at the Snyderverse, Rolling Stone reported that Warner Bros. had refused Leslie Iwerks, a documentary filmmaker, to take a look at the Snyder Cut license clips.. She is previously credited with The Recycled Life of 2006, The Pixar Story of 2007, and much more.

When she asked for the license clips, Warner Bros. would have told him that there was only one Justice Leaguethe 2017 release. Still seeming to distance itself from the Snyderverse, the possibility of a Snyderverse revival only dims.
