Some reports on social media claim that Cherish Finden has been the victim of racism, but she hasn’t confirmed this on her own and her followers are curious to know the truth.
Cherish, an executive pastry chef from Singapore with a long list of accolades, entered Bake Off: The Professionals in 2016. Soon after, she asked if she could work in the kitchen. At 16, she enrolled in cooking school.
Cherish quickly developed her skills in Singapore’s top hotels, such as the famous six-star Raffles Hotel and the Sheraton.
Because so many Michelin-starred chefs, like Gordon Ramsey and Alain Ducasse, were staying at the six-star hotel, she had the opportunity to work with Peter A. Knipp again. She often worked until 1am or 3am, and we were aiming for excellence, so it was not easy.
