Michael Morgan, a participant in the Brooklyn McDonald’s shooting, has been arrested by police. People are looking for his mug photos online.
The McDonald’s worker who was shot in the neck over a bag of cold fries is currently being kept alive by a machine, authorities say, and is brain dead. On Thursday, a Brooklyn judge issued an order for the detention without bail of her alleged attacker.
Michael Morgan is likely to face more serious homicide charges for Monday’s shooting that claimed the life of Matthew Webb in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney Luis Paternina told Judge Inga O’Neale that the victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital and was brain dead when Morgan was arraigned for attempted murder.
Who is Michael Morgan?
While being questioned by investigators, the alleged shooter, Michael Morgan, allegedly confessed to killing Kevin Holloman in October 2020.
On Wednesday, Aug. 3, the NYPD charged Holloman, 28, after he was shot “numerous” times outside an apartment building in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
Six blocks from the scene where Morgan is accused of opening fire on 23-year-old Matthew Webb on Monday, investigators had long suspected Morgan, who was previously detained 13 times, of the homicide (Aug. 2).
The prosecutor sought additional evidence before taking Morgan into custody for the murder. Instead, he was silenced, shackled from behind, and looked down the entire time.
Morgan’s mother, Lisa Fulmore, complained to staff members that her fries were cold on Monday night while Webb was working at the Fulton Street restaurant. She asked to speak to a manager.
There have been more attacks on fast food workers this year. To illustrate, in March, a McDonald’s employee in East Harlem was attacked with a box cutter as he tried to break up a dispute.
