Smallville star Michael Rosenbaum teases he could return to the MCU for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
After years of delays due to strange circumstances, James Gunn finally brings Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on the big screen next year. The long-awaited third standalone chapter in the team’s story appears to conclude the arc that began in the original 2014 film and based on exclusive footage from San Diego Comic-Con, will be an emotional journey for the characters. Along with the core team, we’ll see the return of other supporting characters, including Martinex, who was played by Smallville Michael Rosenbaum.
Michael Rosenbaum, who is most recognized by comic book fans for his role as Lex Luthor in Smallvillemay have revealed he was returning to the MCU for the first time since 2017, when he appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Rosenbaum tweeted the following, teasing his appearance in the trailer screened at Comic-Con in San Diego:
Beyond Smallville, Michael Rosenbaum is also known to fandoms for his voice as Wally West/The Flash in the Justice League animated series. He’s certainly a beloved figure among comic book fans, and with a string of MCU movies under his belt, he’s another addition to the roster of creatives who have been involved in both DC and Marvel projects. Interestingly enough, he was one of many who auditioned for the role of Star-Lord for the premiere. guardians of the galaxy. Rosenbaum was among other hopefuls such as Zachary Levi and Glenn Howerton, who all lost the role to Chris Pratt. Rosenbaum is also a close friend of James Gunn.
