The latest series to hit Netflix like a sandstorm (pun intended) is The Sand seller. Featuring a spectacular story by Neil Gaiman and a host of characters to simp, the series has been hailed as one of the best to hit Netflix for several months. One of the characters shown is the sexist character Johanna Constantine. And fans loved him so much, they’re already clamoring for a spin-off of the character as Hellblazer.

Jenna Coleman shines like Johanna Constantine and maybe Hellblazer
Jenna Coleman had been announced to star as a sexist John Constantine as Johanna Constantine. The actor plays a dual role with the same name for both characters as Johanna Constantine is the 18th century ancestor of the current John Constantine (according to the series, Johanna Constantine). The character is a chain-smoking, foul-mouthed occult detective and wizard who currently resides in London.

Now, there are obvious differences between the comic book character of John Constantine and the serial character of Johanna Constantine. In the comics, John Constantine becomes the character of Hellblazer. But fans couldn’t help but cry for Jenna Coleman to be the Hellblazer in her own spin-off. The sand man.

Fans took to Twitter to express their love and praise for the actress while calling for a spin-off to be created in the name of Hellblazer, starring none other than the actress herself.
Jenna Coleman’s Johanna Constantine is my favorite non-comic portrayal of Constantine. She’s perfect – looks so much like Jamie Delano’s iteration. I would watch a whole Hellblazer Netflix series with her from the same creative team. #The sand man pic.twitter.com/IhFoCyR3cq

To me, Jenna Coleman is the perfect actress for this perfectly written character: Johanna Constantine is a brilliant exorcist, fearless, bisexual and rude with undertones. @neilhimself and @netflixfallout please for @Jenna_Coleman_ Jenna owns this role in my humble opinion. Brilliant cast.

Episode 3 made me want to see her even more. I would love to see a spin-off series on her.

It looks real. Only had time to watch the first episode so far. I’m reading Hellraiser vol 1 and jonesing for a Constantine series or something. So many DC characters with movie/TV potential just sitting on the shelf.

With the latest series making the rounds, one can only hope that Netflix hears from its fans and gives away a spin-off series where they can get more of the Johanna Constantine character they love and adore so much.
