OXFORDSHIRE, UK: Less than a month after Rupert Murdoch told Jerry Hall via email that their union was over, the 91-year-old media mogul has reportedly received divorce papers from Hall’s lawyers as he was boarding his private plane after his granddaughter’s wedding.
DailyMail claims that shortly before boarding the plane, Murdoch received the legal paperwork in the Oxfordshire car park of RAF Brize Norton. According to the report, a witness said Murdoch ‘looked shocked to say the least’ as he was surrounded by his guards as he married the Australian-born billionaire and former model actress Hall in the center from London in March 2016. However, the One witness claimed that Murdoch “did not react in time” before private investigator Michael Colacicco, a former Metropolitan Police counter-terrorism officer, handed him the documents.
According to earlier reports, Murdoch abruptly ended their marriage to Hall via email, leaving her speechless. In Los Angeles, Hall also filed for divorce on July 1 on the grounds of “irreconcilable differences.” Although it is claimed that they signed a prenuptial agreement, Hall’s lawyers claim that she was not informed of the full nature and extent of the agreement,” as DailyMail reports.

Ahead of her 85th birthday in March of that year, Murdoch published a note in The Times in January 2016 announcing her engagement to Hall. One of the spokespersons at the time, Steven Rubenstein, reportedly told the NY Times that the couple had “loved together for the past few months, were happy to be married and were looking forward to their future”.
