Simu Liu’s upset after Shang-Chi’s holiday special deleted by Disney+

Destin Daniel Cretton got a contract with the studio after seeing the popularity of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. In light of Liu’s social media post, many people will be disappointed with Disney.

Disney chose to cancel the Shang-Chi Holiday Special due to quality control concerns, Liu said on Twitter.

“I am sorry to inform you that Disney has decided to discontinue the Shang-Chi Holiday Special due to quality control issues.”

According to the actor’s subsequent comments, he had already shot the entire film. Liu is said to have designed an all-gingerbread Ta Lo:

When will Simu Liu appear next as Shang-Chi

When Warner Bros. Discovery was publicly humiliated for canceling the Batgirl movie at the eleventh hour, Shang-Chi and Legend of the Ten Rings actor Simu Liu mocked the situation on Twitter. Naturally, some people didn’t get the joke, and a few pointed out that many people lost their jobs earlier this week when Batgirl was canceled.

The joke was aimed more at Warner Bros. that the actors and actresses of the bat girl movie, but most people seemed to get it. The studio is also working on a holiday special for the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Streaming provider Disney+ will air the program, led by James Gunn.

There will be a return of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff as characters from previous films. Aside from Simu Liu, no additional cast member identities or roles in the upcoming Shang-Chi Holiday Special have been revealed.

Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is set to direct the upcoming Avengers: Kang Dynasty, which is expected to have at least one Shang-Chi cameo.
