The actor currently stars in Netflix the witcher and it was recently rumored that he showed up at San Diego Comic-Con to announce his impending return, but that turned out to be untrue. But, according to the conversation between Fandango’s Erik Davis and The Wrap’s Umberto Gonzalez on Twitter, a source has given a favorable update on Henry Cavill’s future as Superman in the DCEU.

Henry Cavill’s Latest Superman Update Proves He Must Return
Umberto Gonzalez first reported that “the multiverse must remain” if DC wants to take on Sasha Calle’s Supergirl and Henry Cavill’s Superman in the DCEU:
“The multiverse must remain, if they want to keep [Supergirl actress] Sasha Calle and bringing back a new Superman or bringing back Cavill or something, that’s going to have to be the reality.

Erik Davis further asked Umberto Gonzalez what he knows about Superman’s future and said he heard a rumor that “They asked him, and he doesn’t want to do it:”
“I know the current regime, they like it like Superman and I think they’ll try… It’ll probably turn into a story, I’m not sure, but I’m pretty sure they’ll maybe -be try to [get him back]…I could be wrong, I don’t think they’ve had a hold yet for him to come back. But again, this is all subject to whoever is the new DC guy overseeing the universe and this committee and whoever answers to David Zaslav. It’s been almost ten years since we last saw him in Man of Steel. But what can I say, personally, I don’t think it’s over yet.

Will Henry Cavill return as Superman in DCEU?
According to the plan of Warner Bros. Discovery aiming to bring back Henry Cavill, Superman actually indicates his chances of returning as the Man of Steel.. The star recently opened up about her interest in returning as a DC hero, so the odds are much higher now.
