HBO has ordered a new comedy series titled Franchise which will be centered on superhero cinema.
Superhero content remains at the forefront of our entertainment, with most studios trying to meet the needs of audiences on the big screen or through streaming. Over the years there has also been a lot of excitement behind the scenes with projects like Justice LeagueJosh Trank failed The Fantastic Four reboot, Sony’s management of The Amazing Spider-Man series, Ezra Miller’s current situation, and many more dramas that we don’t even know about.
HBO is looking to bring new superhero content to the flooded landscape with Franchise. Here is the planned series logline:
“A hopeful crew trapped in the dysfunctional, absurd and joyful hellscape of franchise superhero filmmaking. If and when they finally make it into the light of day, the question they must face – is is it the new dawn of Hollywood or the last stand of cinema? Is it a dream factory or a chemical factory?

Franchise just Veep designer Armando Iannucci with Successionis Jon Brown as showrunner. celestial fall director Sam Medes will direct the pilot episode of the series.
Here’s the synopsis for the upcoming DC movie, Black Adam:
Nearly 5,000 years after being gifted with the almighty powers of the ancient gods – and imprisoned just as quickly – Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a screenplay written by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, the DCEU film stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui and Pierce Brosnan.
