Pennyworth added Batman to its title as the series moves to HBO Max for its upcoming third season.
Alfred Pennyworth’s original tale starring Jack Bannon enters its third season. At the DC FanDome last year, it was confirmed that Pennyworth would move to HBO Max after its first two seasons aired on EPIX.
The next season of Pennyworth will feature a five-year time jump, and the synopsis teases the inclusion of superheroes and villains. IGN has exclusively released the first trailer for season three, revealing that the series is now titled: Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler. You can watch the season three trailer below.
The future of DCTV on HBO Max
Pennyworth joins other DC shows debuting exclusively on HBO Max, including Titans, Harley Quinn, Doom Patrol and Peacemaker. With the recent cancellation of Batgirl, it’s unclear who will survive as DC heads into a new direction under new CEO David Zaslav.
James Gunn recently shared that Peacemaker season two is happening, and reports have suggested that The Green Lantern and Matt Reeves’ Penguin series are also safe for now. A series that no longer occurs is strange adventureswhich would explore more obscure DC characters in an anthology format.

“The third season of the psychological thriller begins after a five-year time jump: the Civil War has ended and a cultural revolution has changed the world for better or worse, ushering in a new era of superheroes and superheroes. -villains.”
The series stars Jack Bannon, Ben Aldridge, Emma Paetz, Paloma Faith, Ryan Fletcher, Dorothy Atkinson, Ramon Tikaram, Harriet Slater and Simon Manyonda.
