The Johnny Depp libel lawsuit against Amber Heard has been over for over two months now. The verdict is in. The case had been settled. But the people did not move. The celebrity face-off had been at the eruption point since November 2018. As each side went back and forth wearing the mask of either victim or perpetrator, the libel lawsuit against Amber Heard that Johnny Depp won in the United States served for several weeks as an overwhelming public sensation.

Sealed documents spark public debate over case
On June 1, the jury found Amber Heard guilty of the allegations that Johnny Depp and his team of lawyers had charged her with, in the Celebrity of the Century defamation trial. However, the defendant, Amber Heard, immediately appealed the verdict, forcing Depp to retaliate with her own appeal to hit the $2 million he was due to pay her as a result of the lawsuit.

Since then, the excitement has died down and Amber Heard had essentially lost everything until new evidence recently came to light after Depp fans allegedly paid $3,000 to dig up multiple documents allegedly sealed by Johnny Depp and his lawyers so as not to include them in research. The documents contained, in his file, a litany of text messages, inappropriate accusations and enough statements about both parties to make the public stop and reconsider.

Audiences remember Johnny Depp’s charitable donations
The new evidence shows that Depp is making petty and nasty allegations against his ex-wife in order to gain a higher professional and ethical standard. There is also a chain of inappropriate text messages allegedly exchanged between young women and Marilyn Manson, a close confidante and longtime friend of Depp. As the evidence continues to paint Depp in a negative light, fans are coming to the actor’s aid by reminding the world of how Heard manipulated allegations of using his divorce settlement for charity.

The trial has not been kind to either Johnny Depp or Amber Heard inside or outside the industry. After being essentially exiled from the former and criticized by the latter, the few outspoken supporters who had remained loyal to Depp’s side have now begun to retreat from their earlier views. One of the main causal factors remains the leaked documents.
