IronHeart Villain Debuts Riri Williams’ Armor On Set

IronHeart Villain, The Hood, will soon join the MCU. Actor Anthony Ramos can be seen adopting a similar appearance to Park Robbins, the mystical, street-level Marvel villain who’s been a fan favorite in recent years, in new photographs from the set of Ironheart released by JustJared on Monday. Besides Ramos’ confirmation, Riri Williams can be seen wearing the new Ironheart costume.

After deciding to turn to crime, Robbins discovered a magical robe that grants him supernatural abilities similar to strange doctor or another Master of the Mystical Arts. What sets this character apart from other magicians is the fact that he is almost always armed with a pistol. The Hood debuted in Brian K. Vaughn and Kyle Hotz’s homonymous adult-oriented Marvel MAX series.

Actor Ramos posted a instagram post in February 2022 announcing her casting on Ironheart:

“We in the @marvel universal mix 🙏🏼🙌🏼 Gracia a Dios por la oportunidad!”

Ever since January 2022, when a casting biography for one of the show’s main villains seemed to match the comics’ portrayal of The Hood, fans have speculated that he would appear in Ironheart. After debuting in Ironheart, Ramos and The Hood are set to star in the Thunderbolts movie.

Marvel’s Ironheart in the Cinematic Universe

The first image is a great representation of the Ironheart suit. Like Tony Stark, our heroine, Riri Williams, will likely do three different versions of her outfit before each episode. The larger design is reminiscent of Iron Man and War Machine, the steel armor from The CW’s Superman & Lois, and the armor from the 2016 movie Doom.

See Riri Williams herself, played by Dominique Thorne, below, in a preview featuring her in streamlined armor. The remaining components of the set are indicative of motion capture technology.

After making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in 2022 in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Dominique Thorne will play Riri Williams/Ironheart in the eponymous series. Armor designed by the brilliant scientist in the Wakanda Forever trailers is comparable to Tony Stark/Iron Man’s armor in the comics. While Riri’s role in the sequel’s narrative remains a mystery, it appears from the teasers that she’s good friends with T’Challa’s younger sister, Shuri.
