McCartney hired John to represent him in his 1970 lawsuit to officially disband the group. His grandchildren include sculptor and musician James McCartney, photographer Mary McCartney, potter Heather McCartney, and designers Stella and Heather McCartney.
Eastman, a longtime friend and client of Willem de Kooning and a lawyer, also acquired some of the artist’s works. Her sister Rose Frisch became a well-known scientist specializing in demographic studies and women’s reproductive issues.
