British singer Paul McCartney and John Eastman were brothers-in-law.
Linda Eastman McCartney was John Eastman’s sister and Paul McCartney’s first wife. She was a renowned photographer, musician and animal rights activist.
Bonded by her, Eastman and McCartney were quite close to each other. According to the latter’s recent tweet, they had known each other for more than 50 years.
The Beatles star is the one who confirmed Eastman’s death on Twitter. He wrote: “My dear brother-in-law, John Eastman, has passed away. Having known us for over 50 years, this is an extremely sad time for me and our families.”
“John was a wonderful man. One of the kindest, smartest people I’ve had the chance to know in my life,” he added.
