Just as a point, when I say 5 movies we wish we could forget, it’s not because I want to relive them, it’s downright because they’re terrible movies in their own way, and not something I want to stain my eyes, ears or mind with again.
5. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
One of two equally famous superhero entries on this list, Wolverine’s first solo film was subpar for many reasons, whether it’s the terrible story that wreaks havoc with the already muddy X-Men timeline, poor special effects or almost offensive portrayal. of Deadpool, before thankfully his much better and more faithful appearance in his own film a few years later. Another bad sequel followed before we got the best Logan, which made up for the character’s poor solo outings in previous years.

4. Twilight (2008)
Probably an obvious entry in my list of 5 movies we wish we could forget, we’ll ignore the obvious hate for the movie for a second because it got easy. a popular thing to do to hate the movie and the franchise as a whole, so this is just the first movie, the only one I’ve seen. With its wooden acting, lackluster pacing, and gleaming vampires, I wouldn’t complain about the film being forgotten from history, and it’s never a good sign when the lead actor publicly denounces and distances himself of the film, as did Robert Pattinson.
3. The Event (2008)
One of the many entries in M. Night Shyamalan’s filmography had a pretty decent premise with a terrible climax/twist or overall poor execution, The event is in my opinion its worst. The whole movie makes us believe that people are killing each other for no apparent reason, and the mystery of why is what keeps us watching until we’re told it’s actually plants… plants sending out their pheromones in a coordinated attack on the human race,

2. Firewall (2006)
A movie featuring the acting talents of Harrison Ford and Paul Bettany has to be good, right? Apparently not. Ford’s family is kidnapped by the “criminal mastermind” of Bettany, in an attempt to help him steal $100 million. I just described pretty much the whole movie in one sentence, and it’s even more fleshed out than the final movie. Clearly nothing more than a paycheck for both actors won’t be a fond memory of their filmography.
1. Green Lantern (2011)
Number one on my list of 5 movies we wish we could forget, starring Ryan Reynolds in the second of his terrible comic book parts, The Green Lantern is another movie on this list that’s become part of pop culture for all the wrong reasons. Terrible CGI, incredibly cheesy dialogue, and just not a particularly faithful adaptation of the source material don’t make for a good movie by any means. The star herself has repeatedly poked fun at her own work, since her recent tweet after the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League his subtle digs repeatedly over the course of the two dead Pool movies, or just some of the things he’s said in interviews about it. It’s fair to say that it’s not going into time capsules for the preservation of the cinematic arts anytime soon.
These are my 5 films that we wish we could forget, but what would be your 5? What glaring and obvious entries have I missed?
