The actor was seen talking about the subject again at the Boston Fan Expo over the weekend. At the event, he explained how he would portray the character of Professor X if ever offered the role.
He said he would play the character with strength, grace and composure. He said, “I would play the character with strength, grace and composure. Someone who controls the chaos, but someone who can also uplift and inspire.

The idea of Giancarlo Esposito playing Professor X and joining is also getting a positive reaction from fans.
As of now, it is not yet confirmed who will play the character. Not only that with all the Fox and Disney drama, Marvel isn’t planning on bringing x-men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe until 2025.

Mutants appearing in the MCU
However, the appearance of Ms. Marvel has left many confused as to what the next big Marvel reveal will be. Not only Ms. Marvelthe upcoming series, She-Hulk is also in talks to introduce new characters and superhumans, into the MCU which may also include mutants.
It’s not confirmed yet but according to the show’s trailer, it’s possible to have one or two characters who are originally portrayed as mutants in the comics.
For instance, El Aguila, a mutant with the ability to emit bioelectric blasts from his body is seen in the She-Hulk trailer. This indicates that alongside new superhumans, the series could also introduce mutants to the MCU.
Is Marvel Studios ready to introduce mutants into the MCU?
However, it is not yet clear if El Aguila will be portrayed as a mutant in the series. As earlier, in the Age of Ultron, Wanda and Pietro Maximoff were introduced, who were originally meant to be mutants but instead went on to be superhuman. The same can be done with the new characters introduced in the She-Hulk.
According to a recent report, Marvel may not introduce a new mutant to the MCU until 2025. Still, many believe the character won’t have a major role, and given that, Marvel may only introduce him as a mutant. Nothing is certain until the show is released.
However, one thing is certain and that is that it won’t be too long before we see mutants making their way into the MCU. And with the hypothesis, that Giancarlo Esposito plays one of the emblematic roles in the x-men it will be worth the wait.
