Lady Gaga set to join Joaquin Phoenix for 2019 sequel Joker, Joker: Madness for twoand a new concept features the actress as Harley Quinn.
Since Joker: Madness for two was first announced that Lady Gaga was rumored to appear in the film as Harley Quinn. The first official teaser confirmed that Gaga will appear alongside Joaquin Phoenix in the sequel, which will be a musical.
After Joker followed Arthur Fleck’s transformation into the Clown Prince of Crime, the sequel now looks set to see Lady Gaga’s Harleen Quinzel follow him into madness.
Instagram artist “bosslogic”‘s new concept design gives Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn a punk vibe, in a tank top with fishnet sleeves on the arms.

The artwork also gives Lady Gaga’s Harley her signature oversized mallet. Let these overtly comedic elements make their way into the more grounded world established in Joker is yet to be seen, but it’s certainly a compelling look for Gaga’s take on the classic Batman villain.
The look is a far cry from the ballgown seen in silhouette in Joker: Madness for twofirst teaser. Given director Todd Phillips’ penchant for shaking up the comic book genre, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Lady Gaga’s Harley in an outfit that’s a stark departure from her classic look.
After the first film with Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck ends at Arkham State Hospital, it’s likely that – as in previous iterations – Harleen Quinzel will start as the Joker’s psychiatrist.
Here is the official synopsis of Joker:
Director Todd Phillips’ “Joker” centers on the iconic nemesis and is an original, standalone fictional story never before seen on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck, who is indelibly played by Joaquin Phoenix, is that of a man struggling to find his way in Gotham’s fractured society. Clown for hire by day, he aspires to be a stand-up comedian by night…but finds the joke always seems to be on him. Caught in a cyclical existence between apathy and cruelty, Arthur makes a bad decision that causes a chain reaction of mounting events in this gritty character study.
Directed by Todd Phillips from a script he co-wrote with Scott Silver, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais and Shea Whigham.
Joker is available in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the project Joker sequel starring Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, and be sure to subscribe to the Heroic Hollywood YouTube channel for more original video content.
