Who plays the lead role in Spanish crime drama High Heat on Netflix?
Donde hubo fuego, the next Mexican drama from Netflix, is set to debut on August 17, 2022. Fans of the crime mystery genre will enjoy José Ignacio Valenzuela’s television series, best known for Who Killed Sara?
Poncho, who is on the case for his brother’s murder, makes an appearance at a fire station in an area of Mexico City. Olivia, his colleague and the station’s only female firefighter, joins him as he conducts his investigation while acting as an undercover firefighter.

The main characters of Poncho and Olivia in the upcoming Mexican crime drama series High Heat on Netflix are played by Iván Amozurrutia and Esmeralda Pimentel. Gloria and Ricardo Urza are played by Eduardo Capetillo and Itati Cantoral respectively. The remaining players are:

1) Iván Amozurrutia as Poncho
Poncho will be portrayed by Mexican TV actor Iván Amozurrutia in the Netflix original series High Heat. Poncho begins to investigate his brother’s death, which leads him to a fire station where he begins to operate secretly. His drive, determination, and emotions as he pursues justice will be central to the series.
Previous telenovelas in which Amozurrutia has appeared include Médicos, Preso No. 1, and Ramón’s Enamorándome. Additionally, he has made guest appearances on television shows such as La rosa de Guadalupe and Como dice el dicho.
2) Eduardo Capetillo as Ricardo Urza
A prisoner convicted of murdering several women, Ricardo will be portrayed in High Heat by Mexican actor and musician Eduardo Capetillo Vásquez. As his recovery progresses, he begins to search for solutions for himself and his child.
Due to his long career as an actor-singer in telenovelas, Eduardo is revered as an idol in the Latino community. Camila (1998), El Secreto (2001), Peregrina (2005-06), Pecadora (2009), Soy tu duea (2010) and La Otra Cara del Alma are just a few of his acting credits (2012- 13).
3) Esmeralda Pimentel as Olivia
In the Netflix crime drama, Esemeralda Pimentel, a Mexican actress and model, will play Olivia. At the fire station where Poncho begins his covert operations, Olivia is the only female firefighter there. After realizing his real motives, she offers to help him with his investigation.
2009 saw the start of Pimentel’s career with TV commercials and promotions. She appeared in the films Ahi te Encargo (2019), El hubiera sexiste (2019) and Viaje de generación (2012, 2017). (2020).
Her television appearances can be seen in Verano de Amor, Abismo de Pasión, Gossip Girl: Acapulco, The Color of Passion, La Bella y las Bestias and The Good Doctor, among other shows.
