Universal Pictures has had a wide range of successful worldwide box office releases this year, and they belong to different genres too! The film studio is the first to cross the $3 billion mark at the global box office since 2019, an astonishing achievement.

To start, Jurassic World Dominion earned $974.5 million in worldwide box office sales, being the second highest-grossing film of the year worldwide. Minions: The Rise of Gruwhich was also a kind of meme (Gentleminions meme) before its release, has also grossed $790.4 million to date.
Following the top two dogs on the list is The villains, with an impressive profit of $246.8 million, followed by The black phone with a profit of $152.7 million. It’s safe to say that these films, along with the other projects not included in this list, contributed to Universal Pictures’ overall success at the worldwide box office.

The franchise’s first film was DreamWorks’ highest-grossing original animated feature of 2008, and it’s aiming to achieve the same success next year.
