For what it’s worth, the actor has never failed to disappoint on the big screen and while he won’t be featured for the prequel miniseries, he’s done the crucial part of his job, which is say set up the main plot and build the tone narrative of the world of John Wick.

The premise of John Wick prequel series, The Continental
The high-octane, action-packed show will launch as a three-part miniseries when it first airs on NBCUniversal’s Peacock. The Continentalwhich bears the name of the very exclusive and mysterious hotel built as a no man’s land in the service of assassins like John Wick, will be the premise of the prequel and the encounter events that take place in the 70s around the life of a young Winston Scott, that is, the character of Ian McShane, played by Colin Woodell.

As the world patiently awaits the arrival of Keanu Reeves in his 2023 film, Wick jeans 4, The Continental offers an elegant look at the past that builds the John Wick universe as well as a much-needed dissection of the character of the Parabellum antagonist and his burgeoning life as a young criminal in 1970s New York.

The Continental Prepares to break television records
The president of the streaming service, Peacock, Kelly Campbell recently divulged what it means to have a series of such a massive change from Starz to the current platform. Campbell revealed that the spin-off of “the global phenomenon” will also partner with Lionsgate to expand the franchise. She further added:
“We understand the value of a global franchise and Val Boreland and his team knew that by bringing this special event series to Peacock and putting the full power of NBCUniversal behind it, The Continental premiere will be the event of streaming of the year.”

The series will feature a stellar ensemble cast that includes Colin Woodell as young Winston Scott and Ayomide Adegun as Charon, the janitor. The Incredible Mel Gibson joins the Brotherhood as Cormac alongside Peter Greene as Uncle Charlie, Ben Robson as Frankie, Hubert Point-Du Jour as Miles, Jessica Allain as Lou, Michel Prada as KD and Nhung Kate as Yen.
The Continental will launch on Peacock in 2023.
