Donna Douglas was killed when a huge tree fell into a Bronx swimming pool
With a 72-year-old neighbor who was hit by a tree branch but survived, Douglas was swimming. She was transported in critical but stable condition to Allen Pavillion Hospital. Mike Gallo, 62, who witnessed the crash from his third-floor apartment, said his wife accompanied the survivor to hospital. She goes swimming every day and every other day at the same time with redacted. Just by swimming next to each other, they just do tricks. So it was extremely, very bizarre that one was successful and the other was not, the neighbor told the New York Post.
Building Gallo said: “She was dead in an instant. “There was no way to save her, even though EMS arrived right away. She had a serious head injury. According to CBSNews, Douglas, a Maryland native who worked as a customer account coordinator at the prestigious law firm Davis Polk, was crushed when a large tree fell from an adjacent property, went over a fence and plunged into the River Terrace pool.Resident Sandra Roberts said it “threw a cloud over the building, and I really don’t want to talk about it, actually”.
Everyone shouted, “Help! Help!” I was immediately aware of everything because my windows were open. I noticed the tree in the water when I looked down. Miriam Allen, who resides on the third floor, said: ” I knew there were three or four people in. The Asian horned beetles, according to Allen, decimated the trees on the building’s yard, and when she reported them to 311, no action was taken. The tree was not on public property, according to the municipal parks department, and belonged to the owner of the building.
Local Sebastian Bliffeld said: “A loss of life like this is simply inconceivable. It’s incomprehensible. After his daughter, who worked as a lifeguard, warned him and dialed 911, the building’s superintendent dove into the ocean while wearing his clothes. The super, Alex Syku, claimed: “Her corpse was under the branches, so I pulled her out.” And as I pulled her out, I saw that she was dead. The 72-year-old’s condition was also updated by Gallo. He said: ‘She is fine now, but she has a bump on her head and a scar under her eye. It is an extremely traumatic event. Maybe two feet separated them as they swam. Someone comes home at the end of the day, and someone doesn’t.
The exact cause of death will be determined by an autopsy. Steven Douglas claimed his sister loved living in New York, traveling and longtime partner Gabe Gonzalez. The incident took place two days after a man was murdered in Brooklyn by a falling tree while sitting on a bench.
