Even after the merger of Warner Bros. with Discovery, DC’s future still isn’t as good as it should be. After David Zaslav joined the company as the new CEO, we only heard of cancellations. With the cancellation of bat girl, the studio announced a long-term plan for the future as MCU so that they can work in a fixed direction. But so far, we are missing any major announcement regarding the future of DCEU. Here, then, is a list of five DC movies that, if executed correctly, can not only prove to be absolute box office hits, but can also bring the cinematic universe to life.

DC’s Man of Steel 2
The first and most important project that will surely prove to be a major hit is Zack Snyder’s directorial sequel starring Henry Cavill. Everyone knows about the Zack Snyder fiasco and it’s also a well-known fact that getting Cavill back for the role of the Kryptonian won’t be that easy. But if DC tries to fix the problem and bring it back on board, it will be a resounding success. It’s also reported that Henry Cavill may have a potential cameo in the upcoming black adam so now may be the perfect time for the company to bring back any audiences it is losing.
John Constantine
A John Constantine movie has to be a fixed decision by the House of Superman if the studio wants to add some savagery to the DCEU. With a fusion of Wittiness and the cool nature of the character with the already relevant dark atmosphere of DC, the studio can attract a good number of viewers to this project. The concepts of supernatural powers and magic will also appeal to a new type of audience. While there’s a TV series about him and also a brand new HBO Max series in the works, he hasn’t made his DCEU debut yet.

A Batman movie starring Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck’s Batman was to be one of the main DCEU characters. Even though Affleck’s casting was skeptical, fans were hugely impressed when he appeared in dawn of justice. He takes on the role of the Dark Knight well and it will be a very wise decision if DCEU gives him his own movie. With Ben Affleck’s casting already confirmed in Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom and the flashit will help fans fully explore the streets of Gotham in this DC Universe and can also establish new iconic characters like Robin, Deathstroke, and even the most popular of them all, Joker.
Mortal Blow
DC was close to setting up a major Batman vs Deathstroke until the whole Snyder Cut fiasco began, which again changed the entire future of this cinematic universe. Mercenary Slade Wilson can be as bad as Deadpool in Marvel. We also saw Joseph Manganiello in an uncredited cameo in the Justice League and he looked too dope so it would be an amazing move for the studio if they go ahead with the character and establish him as an amazing supervillain in DCEU.

The Green Lantern
Last but not least, Green Lantern may be an absolute move for Warner Bros. and DC to implement and bring the universe to a cosmic level. With everyone well aware of what happened to star Ryan Reynolds, the movie needs a reboot ASAP. Even though the previous film was a disaster, the reception the character has received in the DC Animated Universe ensures that if it does well, it can also make for a great storyline. So if the studio is working on this project, Warner Bros. will definitely receive another blockbuster.
