How was the police death case involving Anele Tembe resolved? A future leader died after falling from the tenth floor
Anele Tembe died in Cape Town in April 2021 following a fall from a ten-storey building. AKA, a rapper from South Africa, was her fiancé.
The National Prosecutor’s Office referred the case to the police for further investigation three months after Tembe’s tragic death.
Police initially completed their investigation into Nelli Tembe’s death in December. Although they pointed out that there were aspects of a suspicious murder, they asserted that the death was a case of suicide. As a result, it was decided to order more research into the matter.

Police say the investigation into Anele Tembe’s death has been completed. The police have yet to release their full report, however.
The “suicide probe” that led to Tembe’s death was initially launched. Additionally, Tembe’s lover AKA insisted that she committed suicide and denied any involvement on her part. It is now claimed to contain elements of murder.
“Please note that the investigation into the matter to which you refer has been completed,” said Western Cape Police spokesman Joseph Swartbooi.
In order to preserve the privacy of the family, he continued: “The case was then referred to the National Prosecutor’s Office for decision. Accordingly, the merits of the case will not be discussed on an open platform.
Anele Tembe: Who was she? Anele “Nelli” Tembe, the late girlfriend of the AKA rapper, was born on October 11, 1999. She is from the seaside town of Durban in eastern KwaZulu-Natal.
Tembe wanted to become a chief. At the Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine, she was a student.
Nelli first caught the eye when she started dating rapper Kiernan Forbes, better known by his stage nickname AKA. In February 2021, the couple announced their romance to the public after almost two years of dating.
The couple’s engagement story was further enriched by Nelli’s jaw-dropping photographs of an engagement ring on her finger.
Her boyfriend, AKA, had written a lengthy obituary for Tembe and uploaded it to Instagram four months after her death. He posted a photo with the caption:
“Today, 4 months ago. It stays forever. I want to pray for her, myself and our families every day. I will never be the same person I was again, but I will use the gift and the chance of life that I still have to do as much good as possible. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who supported my family and mine. You understand who you are.
He added, “I will never forget this day” to his letter. 04/11/2021. I offer daily prayers for the recovery of your family and my family. I hope that one day, at the same time and in the same place, we can all come together and pay tribute to you and your memories.
Where is Anele Tembe’s family now?
Anele Tembe’s mother is Lulu Tembe and father is Moses Tembe. After her mother allegedly committed suicide, her father allegedly married Princess Ntandoyesizwe.
Nelli grew up next to her older sister, South African actress Nondumiso Tembe.
Moses Tembe, the devastated father, says his daughter had a noble aspiration. He said his daughter wanted to open the first restaurant in Mzansi to receive a Michelin star. He also refutes the claim that his daughter committed suicide.
