Since its introduction in the first Thor Tom Hiddleston movie Loki became a fan favorite, resulting in a revival and spin-off series, Loki, which further expanded its fanbase. As Season 2 is about to release, Marvel Comic’s Squadron Supreme is set to make its MCU debut with it.

The first season of Loki helped expand the MCU, giving the universe its next big bad, Kang the Conqueror. Season 6 saw The remaining one killed by Loki’s variant, Sylvie, allowing the remaining one’s variants to be unleashed across the universe.
Squadron Supreme will wreak havoc on Earth-616
Hailing from Earth-S, a parallel universe of the current Earth-616 storyline, this group of heroes looks a lot like the DCEU’s Justice League. The Squadron Supreme has fought and partnered with the Avengers in the comics many times.

There are many similarities between Marvel’s Squadron Supreme and DC’s Injustice League and Crime Syndicate of America. In all versions, disappointed with the lack of change they see in humanity, the heroes end up turning into villains and turning the earth into a dystopia.
Will Squadron Supreme be Kang’s lackey?
Among the rumors about what’s new in season 2 of LokiHenry Cavill is set to play Hyperion, the MCU’s evil Superman. Previously supposed to play Captain Britain, the role went to Hayley Atwell, renamed Captain Carter.

Led by Hyperion, the Squadron Supreme is also set to debut in Loki. As reported by Marvel Updates, the team will be evil and arrogant, similar to The Boys’ Seven. Moreover, they are expected to work for Kang in Avengers: Kang Dynasty.
Loki Season 2 is set to premiere on Disney+ in mid-2023.
