She-Hulk: Lawyer delivered its first post-credits at the end of its first episode, and it answers a Captain America question that’s tormenting Jennifer Walters and MCU fans alike.
She-Hulk takes a more comedic look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the MCU has never been opposed to a few jokes and comedy moments, the new Disney Plus series features a reluctant heroine who breaks the fourth wall and isn’t afraid to poke fun at Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. and ask the tough questions.
The first episode answers a question some fans have long had about Marvel’s first Captain America, Steve Rogers, with Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters wondering if Steve was a virgin.
After Tatiana Maslany’s Jen was seen asking her cousin Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner about Steve’s antics or lack thereof earlier in the episode, a post-credits scene finally gives the answer – and it’s hot.
She-Hulk: LawyerThe first episode of ends with a post-credits scene that sees Jen and Bruce drinking together at a bar. While Jen laments that Captain America “didn’t deserve to die a virgin”, Bruce eventually reveals that Steve lost his virginity to a girl during the USO tour in 1943. What Now She-Hulk Editor Jessica Gao confirmed it was canon.
“Yes, it’s straight from Kevin [Feige, president of Marvel Studios]’golden mouth,'” Gao said while speaking to Variety about She-Hulkconfirming that Captain America’s reveal in the episode was Kevin Feige’s official response to the highly controversial question.
Jessica Gao also revealed that Jen’s questions about Captain America’s sexual history were originally a running gag throughout the series, until Kevin Feige gave her the official answer:
“We just started putting it into scripts. There was a season runner where the thing that constantly gnaws at Jen is this question of whether or not Steve Rogers has ever had sex. You see her regularly googling, talking about it. You felt like she was constantly harassing the people in her life, this question that burned in her soul. I can’t describe to you how thrilled and shocked I was that not only was Kevin on board to answer the question, that he provided me with the canon answer.
It might not be one of the Marvel mysteries fans expected to see solved in a Disney Plus series, but She-Hulk nevertheless provided a definitive answer. Steve Rogers didn’t let “America’s ass” go to waste.
