Dwayne Johnson, the star of the next DC movie black adamrevealed that he remains hopeful of a crossover with the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point in the future.
Dwayne Johnson’s DC debut in black adam is imminent, and the actor has made no secret of the impact he thinks the character will have on DC’s cinematic future. However, he’s now revealed an even bigger hope for DC’s future – a crossover with Marvel.
Marvel Studios has been building its cinematic universe ever since the release of Iron Man in 2008. With Warner Bros. With Discovery building a new long-term plan for DC, could the two superhero universes be on a collision course?
In a recent interview with Total Film, black adamDwayne Johnson has revealed he’s “optimistic” for a DCEU/MCU crossover.
While talking about black adam and the DC Universe, Johnson tackled Marvel’s own universe of heroes and villains. The actor revealed that he believes the two should not only co-exist, but “cross over” at some point in their cinematic future.
Speaking about his hopes for a shared future between DC and Marvel, Dwayne Johnson said:
“I’m optimistic… just my nature is optimistic. And especially when it comes to creation. Especially when it comes to movies. And especially when it comes to DC’s pantheon of superheroes and villains. Across the street, we have Marvel’s Hall of Fame Super Heroes and Villains. For me, not only can they exist, but they should, in my mind, cross paths one day.
Marvel and DC have crossed paths in comics before, teaming up for titles like JLA/Avengers and Spider-Man and Batman: Messy Minds. The two companies also launched Amalgam Comics, a joint publishing brand in which they merged their characters to create new ones.
