Jessica Gao, head writer of the latest MCU Disney Plus series She-Hulk: Lawyersaid she thinks Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters will continue to appear in Marvel films.
She-Hulk: Lawyer introduces a new Hulk to the MCU, introducing Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, the cousin of Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner. The first episode sees Jennifer transformed into She-Hulk, although she makes it clear that she has no intention of becoming a superhero.
Despite her initial reluctance, it looks like Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk may have a career with the Avengers in her future. Jessica Gao revealed that she expected to see the character team up with other Marvel heroes on the big screen.
In a recent appearance on Deadline’s nation of heroes podcast, Jessica Gao said she would be “shocked” if She-Hulk didn’t make the jump to Marvel team-up movies.
Although She-Hulk debuted as the ultimate reluctant hero, Jessica Gao has made it clear that she sees a heroic future for the character in Marvel films alongside other superheroes. This could suggest that the character will change his mind about using his powers as a hero over the course of She-Hulk: Lawyer.
When asked if she thought She-Hulk might appear in the recently announced Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret WarsGao said, “I would be shocked if they didn’t start putting her in movies, especially group team movies.”
As Marvel’s Disney Plus series are still a relatively new format for the studio, it hasn’t always been clear how some of the shows – such as Moon Knight and She-Hulk, which feature new heroes and aren’t meant as setups for MCU movies — will tie into Marvel’s theatrical releases. However, it looks like MCU fans should expect to see She-Hulk on the big screen soon.
Here is the synopsis of She-Hulk: Lawyer:
