When Andrew Garfield takes his chance at redemption

Prior to the year 2016, a deal was in the works between Marvel executives and Sony to bring the Spider-Man character back into the MCU. When the deal closed it was rumored that Andrew Garfield would have to be replaced. After failing to show up at an event in Brazil where the release date of The Amazing Spider-Man 3 was about to be announced, an alleged email between the actor and Sony representatives was leaked.
Canceling his appearance at the last minute, Sony representatives were very upset with the actor’s behavior and as a result any chance of a sequel starring Andrew Garfield was ruled out. When the opportunity presented itself, Andrew Garfield held on and didn’t let go as he reprized his role as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Coming Home (2021). After what felt like redemption come true, fans then began praising the actor and hailing him as “the best Spider-Man of all time”.
