Top 10 Marvel Projects Announced
Exactly a month ago, July 21-24, Marvel announced a slew of plans at Comic-Con in San Diego.
We received many new announcements, including the full Phase 5 timeline as well as some Phase 6 movies. Let’s jump right into the top 10 most anticipated projects among all these announcements.
10. Loki Season 2
Picking up where season 1 left off, we have Sylvie who ruins the whole timeline and our version of Loki ends up in another multiverse version of TVA, where kang controls VAT by itself without the illusions of the timekeeper and where Loki does not exist. This raises many questions and increases our anticipation for this next episode which will be released in the summer of 2023.
9. Secret Invasion
We have Skrulls, Talos, returning Nick Fury, Maria Hill and Emilia Clarke in this series which is going to be a “darker show” as mentioned by Cobie Smulders, who plays Maria Hill in the series.
There was even a re-shoot for this series which could either lead to a change of story from the original project or an increase in the number of episodes. Let’s wait until spring 2023 to find out who is who.
8. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
This will probably be one of the most anticipated films after it was revealed that we will be witnessing Kang the Conqueror entry as the main antagonist in this film as well as future episodes.
The producers also mentioned that they will further explore Quantum Verse in this film. We can’t contain our excitement after hearing this news and the release date is set for February 18, 2023, making it the first movie of Phase 5.
7. Marvel at zombies
Although this series is not canon for Earth-616, this series ranked so high on this list, for two reasons being the interesting single episode we got to see in What If turning into a series.
It has also been confirmed that this series will indeed be TV-MA, the first for Marvel, which will be released in June 2024.
6. The Fantastic Four
After the continued failures of previous Fantastic Four films, now Marvel has a grip on their character rights and can use these characters to the fullest. We’ll also see fan-favorite villain Doctor Doom as the main antagonist.
The only complaint is having to wait longer until November 8, 2024. This movie will also be the start of Phase 6.
5. X-Men ’97
The direct sequel to x-men 1992 anime series, this announcement only increased the fan hype with its large amount of characters announced to be featured in the series.
This was also immediately renewed for a season 2, for fans, with its S1 release date being fall 2023.
4. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3
We have already learned that High Evolutionary, the creator of species like Adam Warlock will play the role of a very evil and powerful antagonist. James Gunn has confirmed that this will be the end of the Guardians story, not necessarily everyone will.
This increases the emotional value for the fans as we have to witness the death of maybe some characters and say our goodbyes on May 5, 2023.
3. Avengers: Secret Wars
For a long time, fans expected these events to lead to the Secret Wars Timelinewe got the same confirmation at Comic-Con, fans know full well how thrilling this story was in the comics, with multiple variations of our favorite characters battling Kang the Conqueror on a whole new level and dimension.
This film marks the end of Marvel’s Phase 6 with its release date set for November 7, 2025.
2. Avengers: Kang Dynasty
The storyline of the comics featured a plethora of superheroes taking on Kang’s invasion of Earth and the same series that gave the throne to one of the Marvel’s Greatest Villains to Kang.
This storyline contains everything a fan craves, emotions, fights and conflicts, making it the most anticipated Marvel movie and the first part of an epic Phase 6 finale, which will be released on May 2, 2025. .
1. Daredevil: Born Again
Daredevil series, finally, after angering fans after the cancellation after S3 Daredevil, and after 4 years, we now have the announcement of a Daredevil series, adapting the best possible scenario, Born Again.
Kevin Feige sure knows how to please fans, and this series is going to last 18 episodesbut fans will have to wait a bit longer for the release date which is aiming for a spring 2024 release.
