The comparison between the first and the original Predator of the Predator film franchise and the latest film Prey has been made public, and it clearly shows how the two animals differ from each other.
Prey takes place approximately 300 years before the release in 1987 of the first Predator film.

The basic principle of a Predator movie is generally the same: an alien alien species kidnaps a few people and hunts them for sport.
Predator 2 (1990), predators (2010), The predator (2018), and the Extraterrestrial franchise, which includes Alien vs Predator (2004), Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007), and the most recent entry Preyare among at least seven films in the Predator franchise (2022).

The difference between the two predators
The predator’s head had long, pipe-like extensions protruding from the back that gave it the appearance of an arthropod. This creature’s body is larger than a human, highly resistant to most human weapons, and/or quickly repairs any external injury. Although they lack the natural agility that hunters should have, they make up for it with advanced technology that makes hunting easier for them.
They usually wear a metal helmet that wraps around their head and face, like a metal helmet and armor.
It is impossible that a creature with such sophisticated weapons as the one in the first installment of the franchise existed in the early 18th century. In order to better reflect the film’s time period, the production team had to make necessary changes to the creature’s design.

“Here is a comparison between our AvP:R Wolf Predator and our PREY Feral Predator. We did this primarily as a size comparison to show the devolved crown of the head.
We knew the design changes would be noticed, and not without controversy. It’s a testament to the brilliance of Stan Winston’s original design. Here we are 35 years later still making/watching/loving Predator movies. I’m grateful to have worked on the first, and most recent.

Well, clearly a lot of design changes have been made while keeping several aspects of the film in mind, and honestly? It’s really great to see all this effort to make the film more accurate.
