The Amazon Original series, The boys became infamous for its unchecked violence, display of narcissistic and corrupt super-powered individuals, and its ineffable expanse of unbridled mayhem. The series that took off in 2019 began with a mild immersion in rampant madness that would overtake subsequent seasons and now that Season 3 is finally over, audiences have been warned of more to come.

The cast and crew of The boys are hard at work bringing season 4 of the series to screens. The story had plunged into all the mess of extravagant bloodshed and controversial topics in its third season, which was by far the most graphic of them all. However, with new characters muddying the waters and old ones going off the rails, the producers are working hard to deliver an epic saga of the unfolding narrative.

In the meantime, however, series star Erin Moriarty who plays Starlight has shared a sneak peek at The boys season 4. As expected, the group is back and the star can be seen alongside Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara and Tomer Capone all huddled together in a dark space. The photo has been captioned “Don’t say I didn’t warn you”driving fans crazy thinking about all the possibilities of the next chapter.

The boys Season 4 strives to aim higher, go darker
The series’ showrunner, Eric Kripke, previously spoke of the pride he takes in the creative freedom that Amazon’s platform affords him, which he felt inhibited during his experience with the network. The final season is infamous Herogasm The episode, therefore, became so graphic that several steps had to be taken at the streaming service level to regulate the content, but so far nothing has been censored yet.

The stars of the series explored more than just their dose of madness on the sets of the Amazon original. But registering the ascending graph of the story’s exponential progression towards the lopsided aspect of it all, it’s not a shot in the dark that the show is going to get darker and try to fill in the earlier installments. And so far, Erin Moriarty has already confirmed those suspicions with a very telling hashtag implying the scale of the show’s next harbinger of chaos that will be season 4.
