Premiering in September 1997, the series follows attorney Ally McBeal who quits her previous job due to sexual harassment. Joining a new company by the name of Cage & Fish, she is horrified to learn that she will be working with none other than her ex-boyfriend Billy Thomas from whom she has never recovered. The 5-season run follows the trio of Ally, Billy, and his wife Georgia as they grapple with personal life issues as well as court drama.
It has been confirmed that a series of sequels to Ally McBeal is being recast at ABC, and original actress Calista Flockhart is presumed to guest star and serve as an executive producer for the series. No release date has been confirmed for the series.
