Carla Paolina Gallo was born on June 24, 1975 in Brooklyn, New York, United States to parents Samuel Eugene Gallo and Mildred Josephine Coiro. While both of her parents were born in Ohio, her grandparents on both sides were Italian immigrants and her maternal great-grandparents were of German descent.
