Holt explained that it was important to her to maintain continuity with Michael Keaton’s previous Batman outings in her score for bat girl. For her, as a composer, that meant using Keaton’s original Batman theme in the soundtrack of his scenes in the DC movie.
“I wanted to use his original [1989] Batman theme for Michael, to maintain that continuity,” Holt said in the interview. “Danny Elfman had given me his blessing.”
