Dragon House
House of Dragon Episode 1 is out, set 200 years before Game of Thrones. In the first episode, we witnessed characters and their actions as shown in Game of Thrones with more meaning.
Most of us have been through all the seasons of game of thrones, and we have seen the dominion that dragons have over all kingdoms, kings, thrones and armies. Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons, showed us a glimpse of the power dragons possess to destroy empires.
Daenerys hatched all three dragon eggs and strengthened her claim to the Iron Throne. There was no doubting its power when people saw three dragons flying overhead, protecting Daenerys. She won armies, won thrones and marched to the Iron Throne.
Imagine the power of 10 dragons guarding Westeros
As the episode progresses, we learn that the Targaryens were the strongest of all other houses and kingdoms. They believed that only a Targaryen should sit on the Iron Throne to maintain balance and peace in Westeros and the world.
Kings and kingdoms are afraid to go to war for the Iron Throne, because they know their fate in the ashes. 10 adult dragons guard Westeros and protect the Targaryen family, and everyone contributes and supports their rule.
We saw Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen on the back of a middle-aged dragon named Syrax. She is the female yellow-scaled dragon that only Rhaenyra must ride.
A little later in the scene where Aemma, wife of Viserys Targaryen, gave birth to a son in a bloody situation, which claimed the lives of both mother and son. Later, a dragon was seen at the cremation ground to render the last rites to their bodies, placed on wooden blocks and wrapped in sacred cloth.
The dragon heard the famous command “Dracarys” and lit the cremation bed of Aemma and her son Baelon. The name of this dragon is not yet revealed in the series. But with the story of Game of Thrones, we guess that we will have such scenes later in the show, to finally let us know the name of this dragon.
And the third dragon we saw was Caraxes, dragon of Daemon Targaryen. We saw it when King Viserys banished him from office and asked him to return to his wife and his house.
Do the Targaryens have more than 10 dragons?
So far, we’ve seen three adult dragons in the first episode of House of Dragon alone. And remember, the narrator said there were 10 adult dragons with the Targaryens, which means they still have smaller ones and they could have many dragon eggs that haven’t yet hatched.
This process of raising and growing dragons could have continued until the time when the Targaryen dynasty was compromised. And it all came down to three dragon eggs left with Daenerys Targaryen. So we’re definitely about to see a lot of episodes involving Dragon in this series. Stay tuned.
