Harry Styles is a notable and recognized figure in the world of contemporary music. However, in recent years and so far, it seemed that the talented musician was ready to conquer the world of Hollywood and establish himself as an acclaimed actor. Much to everyone’s dismay, in a recent interview, the singer revealed that he may be done with acting…at least for now. This may come as a big disappointment to Marvel fans, who are also fans of the musician, as they were pleasantly surprised by his surprise cameo in the 2021 film. Eternals.

Making his MCU debut, Harry Styles was seen in the extremely short but memorable role of Eros – Thanos’ brother, intergalactic adventurer, serial flirt, and Titan’s Eternal. Truly a dynamic and remarkable role to play within the franchise. Following Styles’ appearance on the post-credits scene, many have wondered about the singer’s future in the MCU. Turns out there might not be much to watch out for.

Styles, in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, compared his experiences as a musician to those as an actor. The singer, who received critical acclaim for his latest album, Harry’s house, opened up about the possibilities of his future on the big screen. According to him, he does not consider it probable that he “make a movie for a while.” The member of One Direction, a notable boy band that has been on an extended and seemingly indefinite hiatus since 2016, said he is mostly focused on his music career. Here’s what Styles had to say:
“I don’t imagine I would be doing a movie for a while…I think there will be a time when I feel like it.”
Moreover, he explained why he prefers his singing career to his acting future. According to him, “A big part of acting is doing nothing, waiting.” With a touch of humour, the singer continued, “Which – if it’s the worst – then, it’s a very good job.” The reason the actor is apparently putting a temporary end to his big-screen appearances is because he’s not a “satisfying” effort. The don’t worry darling the actor also said he enjoys acting when it’s “in the moment”but he now plans not to do too much.

Speaking of his love for music rather than acting, the English singer-songwriter said it was a “really creative” treat. In his own words, “When you make music, something happens.” Therefore, it is undeniable that Harry Styles is more into his singing career, compared to his supposed Hollywood conquest.

While the general reaction to the MCU 2021 effort, Eternals, was quite disappointing. Due to many disappointing aspects of the film, the reception in the post-credits scene and the appearance of Eros in the vast world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has many fans waiting for his eventual return. With recent rumors about a potential Movie The Eternals 2, many were sure that Styles would return to play a major role as Eros. However, such possibilities seem pretty slim now. In the same interview, when asked about his MCU cameo, Harry Styles said the following:
“It would be funny if that [the cameo] was it, wasn’t it? »
While that’s a pretty cryptic statement to make, whether or not it completely puts Styles’ return to the franchise out of the equation is yet to be determined. At the moment, however, such a statement from the actor worried many fans.
On the bright side, there have been instances where Kevin Feige himself has hinted that the singer-songwriter’s journey isn’t over yet. With such conflicting claims, it’s unclear what the future may hold for the singer and his MCU persona.
