She-Hulk Showrunner Jessica Gao revealed why the series was added Lawyer in his title.
When She-Hulk was first announced at D23 in 2019, that was all there was to its title for a while. However, the first trailer for She-Hulk which was released in May revealed that the MCU series would carry the subtitle, Lawyer.
Why do you have She-Hulk Change its title?
The first solo releases of Marvel heroes are usually without subtitles. However, it has already happened with Captain America: The First Avenger, Spider-Man: Homecomingand Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. By talking to lifehacker australia, She-Hulk editor-in-chief Jessica Gao revealed the Lawyer The addition to the title came from the Marvel man himself, Kevin Feige:
“We’ve always had the line on the show where Bruce says, ‘She-Hulk’s lawyer, that sounds good. And one day we were watching cuts and when he got to that scene, Kevin just said “that’s a good title for a show, that should be the title of the show”, and that was it. You know, when Kevin Feige’s golden tongue speaks, it becomes canon and that’s really how it went.
Here is the synopsis of the new MCU original series, She-Hulk: Lawyer:
“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single 30-something lawyer who also appears to be a 6-foot-7 green superpowered hulk.”
Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Lawyer stars Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, Benedict Wong, Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry.
