bat girl Directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have revealed that they no longer have access to footage from the canceled film.
Earlier this month, Warner Bros. Discover decided not to release Batgirl in theaters or on HBO Max. The company’s official stance was that it was not a film they believed in and opted to simply deduct the film’s budget from its taxes. This came despite the fact that the film had, at this point, cost $90 million to make and would have been tested as well as black adam.
Depressing and embarrassing hits from Warner Bros. Discovery and HBO Max just keep dropping. While Matt Reeves The Batman universe seems safe at the moment, the same can’t be said for several of the company’s other projects for the streaming service. More recently, the company chose to remove more than 36 titles from HBO Max and cancel many more for similar reasons. Now it appears that bat girlThe directors of can no longer access the images of the film.
In a recent interview with SKRIPT, the directors revealed that Warner Bros blocked their access to bat girl‘s pictures. As Bilall Fallah recounts, Adil El Arbi called him about the images and then found out that everything had been deleted:
“Adil called me and said, ‘Go ahead. Film everything on your mobile.’ I went to the server… Everything was gone.
El Arbi then expressed his frustration that the server contained all of the Batman scenes:
“We were like, ‘Holy shit!’ All scenes with Batman in it!

The bat girl The film was to star Leslie Grace of In the Heights. Batgirl was last seen on the big screen in live-action as Alicia Silverstone as Joel Schumacher batman and robin in 1997. The film followed the Barbara Gordon iteration of the Gotham City heroine. JK Simmons was also in the film as Commissioner Gordon, Brendan Fraser as the villainous Firefly, and Michael Keaton returned to play his version of Batman.
