David Spunt currently works as a correspondent for FOX News Channel based in Washington, D.C. He joined the network in December 2018.
Spunt worked for the CBS 3 News team in Philadelphia as a senior reporter for the 11 p.m. program from 2014 to 2018. He reported on regional and national issues in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
He provided live coverage from the convention floor in Philadelphia during the 2016 Democratic National Convention.
Previously, David worked for two years as a senior reporter for the 11 p.m. newscast at WBTV-TV (CBS) in Charlotte, North Carolina. He covered the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte in that capacity, reporting live from the ground.
Earlier in his career, Spunt worked as a reporter for WAFB-TV (CBS) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He covered the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster for seven weeks in real time.
Additionally, he worked as a reporter for WRBL-TV (CBS) in Columbus, Georgia for two years. Spunt graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor’s degree in political science and journalism.
