Emma Roberts recently opened up about her experience working at Sony Madame Web movie so far.
Following two Venom movies and Morbius, Sony will continue to pull characters from Spider-Man and build its own Marvel Universe with the characters it has. Movies centered around Kraven and Madame Web are currently on the horizon for the studio.
With Madame Web, recent rumors suggest Sony’s movie will feature a direct Peter Parker tie-in with Adam Scott playing Uncle Ben and Emma Roberts playing Peter’s mother. Set photos from the film showed Roberts pregnant and she could be carrying Peter. Based on set photos, the film could also be set in the early 2000s, which could determine the Sony Verse version of Spider-Man.
Emma Roberts opens up
entertainment tonight recently caught up with Emma Roberts, who didn’t drop any Madame Web spoilers, but shared his excitement to be part of the Spider-Man project:
“I can tell you I’m in LA right now, but I’m going back to shoot a few more scenes soon, so we’ll just have to see…it was really fun. I must say that I was so excited to join the cast. I love Dakota Johnson. I love Sydney Sweeney. It’s a really, really unique cast and story, so I’m really excited. It was really fun working with everyone… I can’t wait for everyone to see it, for real, because it’s so cool.
Here’s the synopsis for Sony’s latest Spider-Man spin-off, Morbius:
“One of Marvel’s most compelling and divisive characters hits the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic anti-hero Michael Morbius. Dangerously afflicted with a blood disease rare and determined to save others suffering the same fate, Dr. Morbius makes a desperate gamble, and what at first appears to be a drastic success, a darkness within him is unleashed and turns this healer into a hunter.
Directed by Daniel Espinosa from a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, the film stars Jared Leto as the main antihero, Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Jared Harris and Tyrese Gibson. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing the project with Lucas Foster, while Palak Patel will oversee for Sony.
Morbius is available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD. Meanwhile, Madame Web is set to release on October 6, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Sony’s various Spider-Man spin-off movies and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
