Ever since she was young, Georgia Adams was a stylish flyhalf and potential future player for England.
Georgia’s big break came in 2020 when it led the rankings in the inaugural Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy competition, which the Southern Vipers won to claim the trophy. Adams scored 500 runs in seven innings, including 80 in the championship game at Edgbaston. Had he not had shoulder surgery the following winter, Adams might have been considered for the England tour of New Zealand.

She had previously competed for the England Under-19 team and made her England Academy debut in the match against India in 2014. Over the next few years she continued to feature of the England Academy team while studying sports science at Loughborough. .
She was a member of the Loughborough University team that triumphed in the 2015 British Universities Championship Final, held at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
Adams competed in the Kia Super League for two different teams, the Vipers and Loughborough Lightning, but she didn’t stand out. The fifty runs she scored on 33 balls against the Lancashire Thunder in 2019 was her only half-century in the four seasons she has featured. However, his RHFT form dispelled any concerns about his talent and opened the door to conversation with England.
