Gal Gadot has expressed interest in seeing a crossover film between Marvel Studios and DC Films.
Marvel and DC fans have often had a rivalry for decades, and like any rivalry based on brand loyalty, it can get pretty messy. However, that hasn’t stopped the two comic houses from collaborating in the past, including special crossover events. And when it comes to cinematic universes, some actors and actresses are involved in both franchises and many others also have working relationships with people involved in both. Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot is one such personality who is quite friendly with members of both Marvel Studios and her home team at DC Films.
Gal Gadot made an appearance at D23 Expo with her White as snow (and rumor has it Shazam! Fury of the gods) co-star Rachel Zegler to promote their upcoming movie. Access Hollywood asked Gadot if a crossover between Marvel Studios and DC Films would ever happen, and it’s safe to say she’s ready for the opportunity:
“Maybe we could get Wonder Woman to appear in the avengers and the Avengers appear in wonder woman. I’m open, I’m all about love, and I love my friends at both DC and Marvel, so we’ll see.
Gal Gadot isn’t the only member of the DC Extended Universe to express interest in a crossover with Marvel. His red notice co-star Dwayne Johnson, who is set to appear in black adam next month, also expressed interest. The two artists both have ties to Warner Bros. and Disney, and given their influence on both studios, this could perhaps be a way to broker a short deal between the two for what could be the most ambitious collaboration between the studios since 1988. Gal Gadot last appeared in the DC Extended Universe movie, Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Here is the synopsis:
