Becoming one of the most anticipated series of the MCU’s Phase 5, Daredevil has remained a fan-favorite superhero despite the character’s long hiatus from the screen. The renewal or reintroduction of the daredevil The series was finally announced at Comic-Con in San Diego.

With Charlie Cox in the lead role, the series followed the story of Matt Murdock as he delivers justice as a lawyer and vigilante. The show ran for 3 seasons before being canceled by Netflix in 2018.
Disney’s Return of Daredevil
The series’ return not only ensured more Daredevil, but also opened up the possibility for more Defenders heroes to enter the MCU. Charlie Cox commented on his character’s reintroduction in an interview with ComicBook.com, stating:
“I love it. I loved every minute of it…And right now, I’m just buzzing about it happening again, it’s starting again. And I don’t know where it’s going…I refer to it as, ‘There is the gift that keeps on giving.’

The actor further stated that he appreciates the opportunity to have another chance with his character as he has already renewed his Marvel Unlimited account to read more Daredevil comics.
Is Daredevil rebooted or renewed?
Since the show is called born againfans were concerned about the reboot of the series and all the lore accumulated over the previous seasons becoming non-canonical. Charlie Cox apparently confirmed these speculations in an interview with ExtraTV at D23 Expo. He stated:
“It’s a season 1, it’s not a season 4, so it’s a whole new thing…Which I think is the way to go. If you have to do it again, do it differently .

Previously, the actor wasn’t too sure what direction the series would take under the MCU, but now he seems happy with the idea of a reboot. But again, a reboot doesn’t have to be a complete overhaul, as a soft reboot could ensure previous lore is canon while adding new stories.
Will Daredevil be as funny as She-Hulk?
News of the reboot was interpreted as bad news by many Daredevil fans, as the character is already set to join She-Hulk: Lawyer, which was awash with scathing humor. Fans believe that Daredevil will also become a wise character that breaks up the tension in the scenes.
So, I’m happy to say that. Daredevil: Born Again could be good for the MCU but that depends on how they portray it in She-Hulk.

Although in the Episode 5 preview we saw Daredevil finally meet She-Hulk, the character was quite serious as he encouraged She-Hulk to be more proactive in helping people. So maybe it’s not all bad news.
Daredevil: Born Again should be released in the spring of 2024.
