One remark many fans have had is that they expected Season 4 to have a higher body count – and it looks like Maya Hawke expects Season 5 to live up to that. forehead.
The actress recently revealed that she would like to see Robin meet a heroic death in season 5 or, failing that, go enjoy the 90s in a spin-off with Joe Keery’s Steve.
Tell Rolling Stone about her stranger things future, Maya Hawke has shared her hopes that Robin’s story will end with a moment of heroic sacrifice in Season 5.
Hawke noted that as Season 5 is confirmed to be the final season of stranger things, there will likely be a higher body count than in previous seasons. However, she also noted how the Duffer Brothers, who write the show, are often reluctant to kill off their characters because of the love they have for them.
Maya Hawke said of Robin’s potential fate in Season 5:
“Well, it’s the last season, so people are probably going to die. I would love to die and have my hero moment. I would love to die with honor, like any actor would. But I love the way the Duffer Brothers love their actors. The reason they write so well for me and for everyone is because they fall in love with their actors and their characters, and they don’t want to kill them I think that’s a nice quality they have, and I wouldn’t want it to go away.
When launched a stranger things spin-off starring Robin and Steve by interviewer, Maya Hawke showed immediate interest in the idea, singing the praises of Steve actor Joe Keery:
“Where we go to New York and we just party in clubs and find out our shit. Normally I wouldn’t really be into a spin-off, but if I had to do it with Joe Keery, I’d do anything. Season 4 of stranger things ended with Robin starting to bond with his crush Vickie. While many fans are looking for romance between the two, Robin will first have to deal with the Upside Down’s collision with Hawkins.
