Benedict Wong’s completely serious character in the MCU, literally named Wong, has slowly risen to the top of the fan favorite characters over the years. Wong debuted as Wong in the 2016 film titled strange doctorin which his character is the Sorcerer Supreme of the Masters of the Mystical Arts.
The love for Benedict Wong is also very apparent in the MCU itself, he’s appeared in the majority of Phase 4 projects, and he plans to show up for more! The MCU’s Sorcerer Supreme recently expressed a desire to see some Marvel characters crossover with his own, and they’re great choices.

Benedict Wong was already a pretty successful actor even before he made an appearance in the MCU. The Manchester-born British actor has starred in numerous films and TV shows over the years, including Prometheus, Marco Polo, The Martian, etc
You know what we mean, he was already a big hit in Hollywood before he made his debut in the MCU as the Sorcerer Supreme of the Mystic Arts.

Like all Marvel fans around the world, we all love crossovers, and Wong is one of us too. The 51-year-old actor recently spoke to JOE about two Marvel Universe characters he’d like to crossover with-
“Oh wow…I would love to work with Samuel L. Jackson…what other worlds are we…I mean, if the X-Men are ever around, I’d love to hang out with the X-Men…I’m a huge fan of Marvel comics at the time and obviously I always remembered the secret wars, where everyone was involved… Who else? X-Force, Nightcrawler, all that. What I love about it and thank the MCU… [I have] journey into the portal world… so the more the better.
Nick Fury and Wong already seem like a perfect match since both take things very seriously while maintaining a certain sense of humor. As for Nightcrawler, the mutant’s playful personality probably won’t bode well with Wong in the MCU, but they might share a good laugh once in a while.

Benedict Wong wants to fully develop his character in the MCU
Franchises usually take advantage of the opportunity to expand a character’s scope further if their audience seems to like them very much. And it would make sense for Benedict Wong’s character to get the same treatment.

The Marco Polo The star is very interested in the idea of a solo film for Wong as he talks about it in his latest interview with The Hollywood Reporter-
“You know, a lot of people have said that. Yeah, I could definitely think of a few ideas. But hey, it’s not for me to push this. If you ever see anyone, send the question over there I mean, listen, I love playing this role, and I think there’s so many more possibilities that we could get into with a show, yeah.
It’s a no-brainer that he loves his role as Wong, isn’t it? That’s pretty much a yes from Wong’s side about a solo movie for the character, and Marvel needs to play their cards fast if they want to make big bucks from Wong’s popularity!
