Timothée Chalamet revealed that he was The ghost Hollywood star and legend Leonardo DiCaprio who warned him against superhero movies (and illicit substances).
Chalamet, recently appeared in Denis Villeneuve Dunes and is expected to return to the franchise next year Dune: part two, previously revealed direct advice given to him by one of his Hollywood heroes. He has now revealed that DiCaprio was the one who passed on the words of wisdom.
In a recent interview, Timothée Chalamet finally opened up about the advice he previously talked about receiving, naming Leonardo DiCaprio as his source after previously refusing to do so.
In an interview with British Vogue, Timothée Chalamet confirmed that it was Leonardo DiCaprio who once told him: “No hard drugs and no superhero movies”.
So far, Chalamet seems to have taken DiCaprio’s advice (on both fronts, we assume). Although he hasn’t done any superhero movies, that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating about what comic book roles he might play.
It’s not just the fans either. His Dunes co-star Zendaya has already joined her Spider-Man: No Coming Home co-stars wondering who Chalamet could play in a future MCU movie. Interestingly, despite his advice to Chalament, Leonardo DiCaprio was already considered for the role of Spider-Man when James Cameron nearly directed a movie starring the crawler in the 1990s.
If Timothée Chalamet did not himself appear in a superhero film, in Dunes, he is surrounded by superhero stars. Not only is he joined by Zendaya from Spider Man fame, but Aquamanthis is Jason Momoa, moon knightit’s Oscar Isaac, avengers and dead Pool Josh Brolin, and guardians of the galaxy‘s Dave Bautista all appear.
